Madison Eyewear has unveiled Hypershift, new limited-edition eyewear featuring lens technology designed to help riders see more, react faster and stay focused in changing conditions.

Available in both the popular Cipher and Crypto glasses, Hypershift combines advanced photochromic technology with HD optics to deliver exceptional clarity across rapidly changing light conditions.

At the heart of Hypershift are trillions of microscopic molecules embedded within the lens. When exposed to UV light, these molecules instantly change shape, allowing the lens tint to adapt to changing conditions. The result is an ultra-fast transition that reacts in as little as three seconds in full sunlight, helping riders maintain optimal vision as they move between open terrain, shaded trails and out on the road.

Unlike traditional photochromic lenses, Hypershift pairs this rapid adaptation with Madison's HD lens technology, enhancing contrast while reducing distortion for a clearer, more precise view ahead.

Liam Curtis, Designer at Madison Eyewear said: "At Madison, we're always looking for ways to bring meaningful improvements to our eyewear, and the introduction of Hypershift lens technology to the range is a direct result of rider feedback. We wanted a lens that performs specifically in the UK's unpredictable riding conditions, so we combined high-contrast optics with a faster-transitioning photochromic lens. The result is clearer vision as light conditions change rapidly, with enhanced contrast in low light that helps riders pick out trail features, hazards and changes in terrain more quickly. It is technology designed to give riders greater confidence and better visibility on every ride."

To further improve visibility in mixed environments, Madison has developed a new blue-lens tint specifically tuned to boost contrast in challenging conditions. This helps riders pick out features and terrain changes more easily during rapid transitions between light and shade, where conditions can change faster than any photochromic lens can adjust.

The limited-edition Hypershift range is finished in an all-new colour-shifting frame design, creating a standout look to match its cutting-edge performance.
