Madison and Sportline are pleased to
confirm that iceBike* 2026 was not only one of the most positive shows we have
ever delivered, but also a record‑breaking year for registrations and
attendance for the second year running.
This year's annual trade show once again took place across two iconic cycling venues – the National Cycling Centre in Manchester and the Lee Valley VeloPark in London – with both events surpassing expectations across all key areas.
When reflecting on the show Dominic
Langan, Madison CEO said “What stood out most to me was the consistent,
unsolicited feedback. Customers spoke about the professionalism of our teams,
the clarity of our communication and the strength of the brands we represent.
In uncertain markets, how you behave matters. Our approach has been consistent,
measured, transparent and commercially decisive and I think it is cutting
through. Retailers are re-engaging, cautiously but positively and they are
choosing to engage with Madison.”
Manchester kicked off the iceBike*
week with a 29% increase in accounts passing through the doors of the National
Cycling Centre over two days. The 2026 Manchester show saw 35% increase in
visitors compared to 2025. With 81% of registered visitors attending, the event
demonstrated a strong upswing in retailer engagement, reinforcing iceBike* as a
key touchpoint for learning, collaboration, and insight across all areas of the
trade.
The London event followed in a similar
vain. The show saw a 18% increase in accounts attending over the Thursday and
Friday show, with a 17% increase in visitors coming to the track centre of the
Olympic Velodrome. Beyond the brands and product showcases, the Business
Services Area continued to draw strong interest, and seminar sessions were
among the busiest the event has seen.
Terry Stephenson, COROS UK, Head of
Marketing adds "IceBike was an outstanding event for COROS. We had great
engagement with retailers and received overwhelmingly positive feedback about
our brand. The quality of our conversations and connections highlighted the
strength of the UK cycling market. Thank you to Madison and the team for
organising such a well-structured industry event; it has given us valuable
momentum as we head deeper into 2026."
Madison would like to extend its
sincere thanks to all those who took part in our show panels, including Truman
Purdy, Park Tool Technical Expert; Ed Clancy, three‑time Olympic Champion and
Active Travel Commissioner; Trudy Harrison, Chair of The Bikeability Trust;
Steve Garidis; Peter Eland; Jonathan Harrison; Will Norman; and, of course, our
very own Dominic Langan.
Away from the trade focus of the show,
it was also time for us and the industry to bid farewell to Park Tool’s Calvin
Jones. It was only right that we raised a beer to the industry icon with his
final seminar on Friday in London drawing a huge crowd a deserved applause.
Madison, Sportline and all its
suppliers would like to say a big thank you to everyone that attended iceBike*
2026 and are already looking forward to making 2027 even better and celebrating
25 years of the show.
