Saracen is excited to announce the re-signing of Jono Jones as their latest rider from 2026 and beyond. Jono needs little in the way of an introduction, he’s local to the UK based brand and one of the most popular mountain bikers in the sport. Jono has built up an incredible career since he began riding at Woburn as a young rider and is a highly renowned downhill and enduro racer.
Jono had his first experience of a Saracen back in 2014 and from there went out to ride for Saracen for three years competing at National and World Cup Downhill races as well as working on some famous video projects. Since then, both Saracen and Jono have come a long way, and this signing is a statement of intent as Saracen continues to grow and connect more closely with mountain bikers of all ages.
Jono Jones, said: “I’m coming home! Some of the most memorable moments of my career have been aboard a Saracen and I’m so excited to be riding them again. Saracen, as well as Madison,
are like a family and I’m lucky to call many of the folks there my friends. This partnership feels super special - it’s not a new start, it’s a reunion.
“It has been awesome to see how much dedication and innovation has gone into bike development at Saracen. I’m pumped to push my limits at both UK and international events over the coming seasons! Let’s go.”
Jono will once again have a very busy calendar competing at the IXS Euro Downhill, Mega Avalanche and will be aiming for Red Bull Hardline again. It’s not just big races Jono will be targeting, Trans Madeira is always a highlight of his year as well as big UK events like Ard Rock and the Malverns Classic. Jono will also be joining a selection of Saracen Shred Session events so riders can demo the bikes and go for a ride with him and the rest of the fantastic crew of Saracen riders.
Kellie Parsons, Marketing Director at Madison, adds: “I’m beyond excited to welcome Jono back to Saracen. This genuinely feels like a full-circle moment for the brand. Jono’s history with Saracen runs deep and bringing him back just feels right. Huge credit to Aled, Maxim and the team for helping make this happen. Just as importantly, it reinforces our commitment to supporting the next generation, Jono has an incredible connection with young riders and the impact he has on kids coming into the sport is huge.”
As part of this new deal, Jono will also be representing several brands under the Madison & Sportline umbrella with sponsors Maxxis, Shimano, Lazer, ODI, continuing with the exciting addition of DT Swiss and PRO components to the stable.
