Meet Rivo, the new smart trainer from Elite, presented today at the opening of Eurobike in Frankfurt, the world’s leading cycling trade fair.
Rivo brings everything you need to train in a compact, accessible format: instant use, accurate data, and full connectivity.
The name Rivo comes from the Venetian dialect and means "to reach a destination" – a clear reference to its purpose: helping athletes move, step by step, toward their goals.
A smart approach to indoor cycling
Rivo is the perfect trainer for riders new to indoor cycling who still want a rich feature set: it estimates power with ±2.5% accuracy and automatically adjusts resistance up to an 18% gradient. It connects to all major cycling apps via Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi.
Rivo fits easily into any space: a slim design, just 10 kg, and an integrated handle make it easy to move and store. The compact structure minimizes bulk, while its ultra-quiet operation makes every workout smoother, more immersive, and more focused. It’s compatible with all 9–12-speed bikes.
Connectivity is top-tier, with built-in Wi-Fi for stable data transmission and automatic firmware updates, and dual Bluetooth® channels to connect multiple devices at once. With bridge mode for Bluetooth® heart rate and cadence sensors, all your data stays in sync. And for offline use, two stand-alone modes let you ride even without power or apps.
The suggested retail price is highly competitive for a trainer with these specs: under €500 for the standard version.
Includes 12 months of free access to My E-Training, Elite’s app for customizing and tracking your sessions. Also available as Zwift Ready
Rivo goes beyond the standard version: it’s also available as a Zwift Ready model, with Zwift Cog and Zwift Click pre-installed. The ideal trainer for getting started with indoor cycling and using Zwift’s virtual shifting straight away — no extra installation needed. Special Zwift offers are included with all Zwift Ready trainers.
The Zwift Cog, compatible with most 8–12-speed drivetrains, replaces the traditional cassette, making it easier to swap between bikes. The Zwift Click, which attaches to any handlebar, lets you shift through 24 virtual gears and control resistance in a simple, intuitive way.
Users of the standard version of Rivo can upgrade at any time: just remove the cassette and install the Zwift Cog and Click pack, available directly from Zwift.
Avanti debuts as Zwift Ready
Originally launched in its standard version at last year’s Eurobike, Avanti is now also available as a Zwift Ready model, with native Zwift Cog and Click.
Avanti is a premium-level trainer that combines top-tier features with accessible pricing for its category: an internal power meter with ±1% accuracy, ANT+ FE-C, Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi connectivity, 4.5° Flex Feet for better side-to-side absorption, and automatic calibration — ready to ride straight out of the box.
With the new Zwift Ready configuration, Avanti with Zwift Cog and Click is the perfect high-performance solution for regular Zwift users looking for a precise, stable, and multi-bike compatible setup.
Rivo, Rivo with Zwift Cog and Click, and Avanti with Zwift Cog and Click will be available from September at Elite retailers – check the full list at elite-it.com.
