Marketing Digital Content Manager

We are looking for a tech-savvy, pro-active Digital Content Manager to join our marketing department. You will have excellent communication and organization skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. You will be working on improving and creating product data and content across our Madison and Sportline websites.

Main purpose of the job:

Digital Content Manager duties include producing and publishing content, writing, editing for all Madison and Sportline websites

• Formulating content strategies and managing the content plan

• Content Managers should be comfortable finding creative ways of building an online presence, as well as using analytics in the formulation of a content strategy. Here, content is defined as multimedia articles, blog posts, images or videos that aid in fostering engagement online

• Managing a content team consisting of writers, graphic designers, videographers, etc

• Formulating a cross-platform content strategy

• Brainstorm with team members to develop new ideas

• Supporting Ecommerce social media

• Provide editorial, creative and technical support to team members

• Track web analytics to ascertain content engagement levels

• Manage content across all platforms, including email and social media

Key Areas of Accountability:

• Content Management

 Onsite Merchandising

• Social Media Content

• Product Embellishment

• Some Promotional Planning

• Ensure that all site content (product/category/brand/company pages) meet the latest SEO guidelines

Experience:

• Working with CMS driven eCommerce platforms

• The ability to understand and interpret commercial objectives

• Can understand and create dynamic contextual content

• Creative copy writing

• SEO data structure

• Blog Management

• The ability to interpret and respond to Web Analytics data and other KPI’s

• Experience of using CMS

• Retail experience and /or eCommerce experience

• Image Editing (Adobe Photoshop or similar)

• Experience with Google Tag Manager (GTM) and eCommerce Analytics

• Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) basics for eCommerce

• Social Media channel content creation

Skills:

• For this role it is essential that candidates have previous experience of working in the digital industry on web related content, Ideally, experience of Microsoft Packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), basic HTML, Google Analytics and Adobe Creative Suite packages are preferable

• Candidates should also be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, together with the ability to work accurately and confidently to meet deadlines
