Rating: Best fot the cold.

Accustomed to buying large for most clothing, we discovered the "large" Pearls came in too big for most of us- try them on before ordering. An ankle zip meant pulling them on at the side of the trail didn't involve taking your shoes off - a bonus - and everyone liked the soft yet effective elastic at the top. They stayed up well on long rides and the sculpted shape gave a great fit, with minimal bunching behind the knees. The thick and fleecy backed fabric was reasonably windproof and they excelled in cold weather.
