Swedish hydration pack brand, USWE has recently picked up international recognition for two products at the Design and Innovation Awards 2017.
The Design and Innovation Awards recognise the world’s best bikes and products, by getting insight from international journalists, visionaries and industry insiders. Renowned across the world for creating industry-leading packs for a multitude of sport, USWE has received category wins for its Urban Pack Scrambler™ 15 and Airborne 15.
USWE – which means ‘kick-ass’ in Swedish – is no stranger to critical acclaim having picked up Design and Innovation Awards in 2015 as well as German Design Awards last year. As a brand born in 2007, USWE had a clear mission to build the best hydration pack that would withstand the harshest conditions without feeling it on your back whether a mountain biker, runner or skier.
Judges particularly highlighted USWE’s ‘No Dancing Monkey’ carrying system, but were impressed by many facets of the packs, saying: “The USWE SCRAMBLER is a high quality 16 litre backpack that teams traditional materials and an achingly hip look with a performance that was previously only found on purebred outdoor sports backpacks. The SCRAMBLER relies on the award-winning ‘No Dancing Monkey’ carrying system, which has proved its staying power on USWE’s mountain bike backpacks and kept a firm position whatever the situation or terrain.
“In short: the brand have crafted the ultimate backpack for everyone who’s keen to profit from performance and aesthetics on a daily basis”
Equally impressed by the Airborne 15, judges had the following to say: “The AIRBORNE’s design is well thought-out, seeing it fit tightly to the body yet still giving the rider the freedom of movement necessary to get loose. As a serious trail riding backpack, the USWE AIRBORNE delivers the whole package – and damn well!”
