The Light and Motion Seca 1700 came out on top in the December issue grouptest in MBR magazine, taking the "Test Winner" accolade, along with a sterling 9/10 rating. Here's what the mag had to say.
"For 2013, Light and Motion has done three things to last year's test-winner: it has increased light output to 1,700 lumens, reduced the battery to a three-cell Li-ion (although upped it to a 2.6Ah) and dropped the price. The system is about 100g lighter, and the light has more power The light output on the middle setting has gone up to 850 lumens, making it a lot more useable, and you still get close to five hours' run-time.... Overall, the Seca 1700 produces the best light with a very even beam pattern and excellent fill for technical trails."
