Mavic came into being in 1889; today, with over one hundred years of experience, Mavic continues to stride forward into the future. Around 300 staff at the four principal European sites help the famous yellow brand to progress - with a real passion for the sport of cycling.

Everything begins in the heart of the French Alps. In this ideal environment we ride as often as possible, either to develop future products or just simply for the pleasure of devouring those small mountain roads leading us to nearby mountain passes or to pound the singletracks and sensational downhills of the Semnoz. Products are designed and commercialised at the Design Centre in Annecy, rims are manufactured at the historical site of St Trivier north of Lyon, then the milling and assembly takes place in Rumilly, France and in Romania.

We are also present out in the field during the most important events of Planet Cycling. Our Service Course, created in 1973, has brought neutral technical assistance to all participants at thousands of cycle races all around the World.
